About Me
The Full Story
My name is Tor, I am 36 years young and a life long animal lover. I am a committed and dependable dog walker, pet visitor and pet sitter in North Liverpool and the surrounding areas. I am passionate about animal welfare and devoted to providing the best care to your family pets.

Raised in Birmingham, where my childhood and youth was spent with my rescue Collie Cross (Pepsi), 2 black Labradors (Kiwi & Cassie) and with friends and family who had cats and a variety of small furries including hamsters and rabbits. I spent the end of my teens and early part of my 20s working in the childcare sector, before going back to college to gain an access course and go on to university.
Having gained a degree in Early Childhood Studies and with my unwavering love of animals I decided to embark on a Community Development Internship in Mexico in 2017 and I spent six months volunteering in a charity run Veterinary Clinic and a local Dog Rehoming Shelter. This deepened my desire to forge a career in the animal care/ welfare sector. Upon my return to the UK I began volunteering as a Dog Carer with the Blue Cross. After doing this for over a year I met my partner and relocated to Liverpool; where I was able to secure a position as a Twilight Veterinary Care Assistant in a busy 24 Hour first opinion Veterinary Hospital; which I did for 4 years.

Outside of animal care I also love sports and I’m a keen Liverpool FC supporter and a season ticket holder for the Women’s team. Volunteering within the scout association for a beaver colony section where I work with a variety of children aged 5-8. Camping and attending music and international film festivals and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy spending my free-time crafting, cross-stitching and crocheting. I like to read and my choice of literature spans animal care, historical biographies and historical fiction. I enjoy attending the theatre and listening to variety of music.

I currently own a chocolate Labrador (Coco) at my family home and an American Bull Terrier Cross (Lafayette) with my partner. Having owned dogs my whole life and always preferring the company of a furry companion; I decided to turn my passion in to a career and business and Tor's Paws was born. This is a newly established business that I am hoping with my dedication and the aid of the lovely residents of Liverpool and their beautiful furry companions can flourish.
